How much delivery will it cost?
For UK & Europe: Free shipping when customers spend over £25/€35.
My order has not arrived yet!
Lonely Planet posts all deliveries to the address customers provide Lonely Planet with, so check the order dispatch email to ensure that the address is the right one. If customers have paid by PayPal, check the PayPal delivery address is correct. Where the address the customer has provided is not 100% correct, Lonely Planet will need to wait for the parcel to be returned if they are to provide any kind of redelivery/refund, but they will be happy to help the customer to place a new order if they need the books earlier.
Is it safe to use my credit card online?
When customers complete a purchase using their credit card in the Lonely Planet Online Shop, their transaction will be processed by WorldPay, a secure and safe system that protects the credit card details.
What payment methods does Lonely Planet accept?
They accept payments via PayPal and by the following credit cards: Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Visa Debit and Visa Electron (UK). Sorry, Lonely Planet does not accept personal checks, cashier’s cheques, money orders or direct deposits.
What is Lonely Planet‘s refund policy?
If the purchase is not as described on the Lonely Planet website, they can sometimes offer an exchange on the goods or a refund where appropriate. For partial returns, refund amounts will be calculated against any discounts claimed at the time of ordering (eg. 3 for 2, percentage discount or similar). If the customer is unhappy with their purchase (other than where the product is damaged/defective, or where it is not as described on Lonely Planet‘s site), then contact them within 30 days of receiving the goods. Lonely Planet will review the request and get back to the customer within three working days.
